High density polyethylene shell protects ONE or TWO snowboards with bindings AND boots or MULTIPLE pairs of skis with riser binding plates. It is designed to be lightweight while being strong and durable. Wheels make those awkward loads easy to transport - just wheel them along like a suitcase. I did extensive searches for a ski bag and Sportube is the bag recommended by most reviews if you want the best protection for your gear. And after recieving the bag, it is clearly a very sturdy bag and I have no doubt it will hold up well,so I have no regrets in purchasing a sportube.
What I do now realize that one cannot put three pairs of skis and poles in it without going over the Airlines 50Lb weight limit.
So for snowboarders this is a great bag, but for skiers I would suggest buy the sportube 2 instead because you really can't use it for 3 pairs of skis.
